Being a registered member is essential to represent and defend the interests of biology professionals. Only through collective organisation can common goals be achieved that go beyond individual action.
The Official College of Biologists of the Comunitat Valenciana (COBCV) is the meeting point for biologists and the body responsible for safeguarding their professional rights and interests.
Fees
Standard registration: €50
Registration with degree obtained less than 1 year ago: €25
Standard semi-annual fee: €72
Semi-annual unemployed rate: €30
Semi-annual for residents in another country: €15
Semi-annual retired rate: €0
Professional fees are tax-deductible in the income tax return.

Important information
Submitting the registration documentation implicitly authorises the Official College of Biologists of the Valencian Community to verify the degree of Bachelor/Graduate/PhD in the National Registry of Degrees of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, in accordance with Law 2/2011 of 4 March on Sustainable Economy, in its Second Additional Provision regarding access to information in the National Registry of University Degrees, the Registry of Non-University Academic and Professional Qualifications, and the National and Regional Registries of Professional Certificates, and in accordance with Article 11.1 of Organic Law 15/1999 on the Protection of Personal Data.
Student registration
Pre-membership is a free one-year registration for final-year undergraduate students, designed to familiarise them with the profession and ease their entry into the job market.

How does it work?
The status of pre-registered member is valid from the assignment of the pre-registration number until the start of the following academic year.
Once this period ends, the graduate will have two months to complete full registration, becoming a full member without having to pay the registration fee.
If the student does not obtain the degree, they may renew their pre-registration by submitting their new enrolment form to the COBCV Secretariat.
