"Living Landscapes: Biodiversity in the Rural World": Exhibition at the Biodiversity Museum
On Friday, May 22, the Biodiversity Museum celebrates International Biodiversity Day with a new temporary exhibition.
“Living Landscapes: Biodiversity in the Rural World” opens its doors to showcase how agricultural, livestock, and forest landscapes harbor enormous natural and cultural wealth, the result of the coexistence between people and the land.
The exhibition aims to highlight the importance of the rural world and agricultural activities in diversifying the landscape and maintaining rich biodiversity. It addresses how the depopulation of rural areas is leading to a decline in the number of flora and fauna species, as well as cultural impoverishment and a decline in ways of life.
This exhibition is presented in collaboration with the Official College of Biologists of the Valencian Community (COBCV) and with the support of @UADivulga at the University of Alicante.
Opening: Friday, May 22
Time: 12:00 pm
